We have all heard about people telling Magistrates or Judges what they think of the law but some people take this to the extreme.
1. The courtroom scene occurred in Mossel Bay, South Africa, during 2012 at the trial of a male-female team accused of robbery. Eyewitnesses say the court session was well underway when the couple decided to engage in a different kind of courting and started making out as the judge watched, IOL.co.za reported.?They were subsequently charged with contempt of court and public indecency.
2. In 2011, an Advocate was questioned by the Western Cape High Court as to his late appearance at court and explained that same was due to motor vehicle problems. The Judge continued to tell the man that it was unacceptable whereafter he swore at the judge and exclaimed that "I'm not your child" before leaving the courtroom.
3. In 2015 and in Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng, a man charged with possession of marijuana(dagga) was released and the matter against him withdrawn. The Magistrate continued to ask the previously accused man "Do you want the dagga back?" The man stood for a moment, deciding, and after seeing the prosecutor shaking his head decided to say "No" and walked out of the court quite angrily that he could not get the dagga back.
